Soybeans : Mato Grosso harvested 2,7% of the crop.

Soybean producers in Mato Grosso harvested approximately 165 thousand hectares of  2009/10 crop until Friday, which corresponds to 2.7% of the planted area. According to a report published by the Mato Grosso of Agricultural Economics (IMEA), the yields have varied between 48 and 50 bags per hectare, with occasional reports of up to 55 bags per hectare.
The large amount of rainfall throughout the state is delaying the harvest, especially in the districts of mid-north. "In Lucas do Rio Verde and Diamantino, the tension is greater as soybean whose cycle is complete and work has not walked as expected," the report said the IMEA. Nevertheless, considering the Institute has not been reported problems with the crop. "The concern is with the disease control late season and especially with the rust," notes the IMEA. The IMEA provides that the crop in Mato Grosso will reach 18.22 million tons, an increase of 4.7% over the volume recorded last season.
